The iPhone 13 design has my only complaint. Touch ID is not available in the power button and underneath the display. It would be nice to have an alternate way to unlock iPhones when people continue to wear masks in public.

A free device is available from most retailers, but not on the iPhone 13. However, if you have an older device you could save upwards of $700. If you are willing to switch carriers, you might also be able to save even more.

If you are looking for an ultra-high-end iOS device, the 13 Pro Max retails at the same price as last year’s iPhone 12 Pro Max. Although Apple is rumored to be discontinuing the 12 Pro Max, you might still find them on shelves at a lower price. Both devices are 5G capable and have a strikingly similar design, so it may be worth checking out the older device if your goal is to save some cash.
