Two independent editors tested the Dyson Supersonic Dryer with hair of very different lengths, textures and types.
The Dyson Supersonic was used on Amanda, my friend with curly hair 3B, and mine 2C. We used the diffuser for her hair. However, I used all the attachment settings on my own hair except for the wide-tooth combing, because that's not designed for my hair type. But, it ended up working only on two (my hair and a friend's). While $400 seems high for a hairdryer and a good price, I found that the Dyson can do my 28-inch long curly hair in 5 minutes. This is also less damaging than traditional hair dryers.

It was the volume it added to my hair that made this hair dryer so worth it. I have very fine, straight hair. For my hair type, Dyson Supersonic creates big volume. The dryer comes with a round brush, which is great for curtain bangs. One of the concentrators nozzles style my bangs. I dry my hair naturally, without using any attachments.
