First, I was impressed by the Dyson's inclusion of everything. My previous hair dryer only came with the dryer. I had to order accessories (diffusers, concentrators, brushes, etc.) separately. These accessories were not included in the original hair dryer, so I had to order them separately.

The Dyson Supersonic comes with three speeds (low-medium, high-speed) and four temperature settings. This includes a cold shot. The attachments include a diffuser, two nozzles for smoothing and one to concentrate air flow. This is great for styling bangs and blowouts. Since the Supersonic's release, Dyson has also released three other attachments: the Flyaway Attachment (for smoothing out flyaways), Wide Tooth Comb Attachment for curling curly hair and the Gentle Air Attachment (for controlling heat and diffusing it to protect fine hair types).

Dyson isn’t lying when he says that hair feels less damaged after using Supersonic. Dyson claims that the Supersonic reduces hair damage by up to 80%. I am not a professional hairstylist so I cannot confirm these percentages. I know how my hair feels after using a Dyson straightener (not fried).

The Dyson hair dryer functions like a standard dryer. However, the Dyson Air Wrap dryer is dryer AND a styling device with multiple styling attachments. For example, barrels can be used to curl or wave hair and brushes can be used to smoothen and volumize.

The Dyson hair dryer has four temperature settings. The Dyson hair dryer can be set to the hottest temperature of 212°F, while the coolest setting is 82°F.

My only regret is not buying it sooner. While it is an investment, the Dyson has made my hair life so much easier. The Dyson takes 30 minutes instead of the hour drying with other dryers. The Dyson is worth every minute because of its time-saving features. Avoiding heat damage is a key part of my journey to healthy locks. I feel confident that the Dyson will protect my hair from damage and dry it in a flash. I no longer feel the need to sacrifice hair health just so that my hair doesn't get wet all day. That is a great thing for me.

Dyson claims that the hair dryer is designed for quick drying and styling at the voltage it was manufactured in. Voltage varies between countries so please refer to your user manual for instructions on how to use it.

Those are some pretty inflated numbers. Dyson vacuums are well-worth the money, so why not use them for your hair tools as well? The claim that Supersonic can increase shine by 132% was something I wasn't convinced of. It seems subjective. But, I was curious to find out if the claims of decreasing frizz and protecting against heat damage were true.

Dyson claims the Supersonic has a lower percentage of hair damage than it actually claims. However, I can tell you what my hair feels like after using a Dyson dryer (not fried) or when I straighten it (fried).

It is extremely sleek. You would expect something with this much tech to be heavy and clunky. But not the Dyson Supersonic. This hair dryer is much more lightweight than other models and is easier to move around your head. The motor in the middle of the device, which is smaller than other hair dryers, is brushless and quieter. You might need to reconsider your routine if you are used to thinking of your daily hair-dye as an arm workout. Dyson created the dryer to pay tribute to their best-selling fans. This is why the iconic hole in the middle makes it so famous.
