The Dyson Supersonic comes with three speeds (low-medium, high-speed) and four temperature settings. This includes a cold shot. The attachments include a diffuser, two nozzles for smoothing and one to concentrate air flow. This is great for styling bangs and blowouts. Since the Supersonic's release, Dyson has also released three other attachments: the Flyaway Attachment (for smoothing out flyaways), Wide Tooth Comb Attachment for curling curly hair and the Gentle Air Attachment (for controlling heat and diffusing it to protect fine hair types).

Dyson Supersonic hair dryers are made to protect hair from heat damage. This dryer will increase hair's smoothness up to 75%, improve shine by upto 132% and decrease frizz or flyaways by as much as 61%

A resounding yes, yes, yes. I had no idea that a $400 lump of plastic would have such a grip on me. However, it does. I have given away all my other dryers, including the Dyson hair dryer, to my mom (and friends) since I received it. My hair has never looked better. Good health, no bleach and lots of Olaplex are the reasons my hair looks so good.

Each attachment is specifically designed to style specific hair types.

Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer Review - It's worth the $450 price tag

Protects shine from extreme heat damage by using intelligent heat control. This measures the air temperature at 40 times per second to avoid extreme heat damage.

Dyson Supersonic is a hair dryer that promises to be magical and has more features than any other. Dyson's Supersonic is described as being "engineered to protect hair against extreme heat damage, with quick drying and controlled stylisting to increase smoothness by 75%. Shine can be increased by up 132%. Frizz and flyaways can be decreased by 61%. *"

About 1.2 pounds. Although there are many hair dryers that weigh less than this one, Dyson claims that this hair dryer was "engineered to balance". I can feel it. The weight of the hair dryer is on top, so it doesn't weigh down my wrist and puts pressure on my wrist. It's also not heavy at the front.

My medium-length bob cuts just barely reach my shoulders. I also have curtain bangs in dire need of being trimmed. Curtain bangs have been my constant companion for the past two years. I don't think I could ever imagine changing my hairstyle. Curtain bangs are a complicated style, so I must make sure they stay in place.

In recent times, having a great hair dryer was a necessity instead of a wish.

Review of My Dyson Supersonic hair dryer

Protect shine by preventing extreme heat damage: Intelligent heat control monitors the air temperature more than 40 times per second to prevent heat damage.

The volume it gave my hair was what made it worth the price. As I mentioned, my hair is straight and thin.

My hair has a combination of 3b, 3c and 3b curls. It was very curly during puberty so I spent most time straightening it.

This hair dryer uses a V9 motor which is much stronger than my Dyson vacuum. It spins at up to 110,000 RPM and pumps 13 liters per second of air towards the amplifier. The hair dryer is equipped with intelligent heat control to regulate airflow temperature and protect against heat damage.

Although it is not silent, I believe it to be a lot quieter than others. It is quoted by some sources at 75 decibels, while others say 79. If you are interested in getting technical,

It is very modern in design. A hair dryer with this much technology would be expected to be heavy and cumbersome. However, the Dyson Supersonic is not that. This is a lighter hair dryer than others, and it is much easier to maneuver around your heads. The motor at center of this device is smaller and less brushless than most hair dryers. It is therefore quieter and easier to hold. You may have to change your routine if your usual hairstyle is one of arm work. Dyson designed their dryer as a tribute to their bestselling fans. That's why it has the hole at its centre that makes it so iconic.

The Dyson hair dryer functions like a standard dryer. However, the Dyson Air Wrap dryer is dryer AND a styling device with multiple styling attachments. For example, barrels can be used to curl or wave hair and brushes can be used to smoothen and volumize.

What I love about the Dyson hair dryer over others is that it takes about half the time to dry my hair and doesn't leave behind that burnt hair smell.

The Dyson Supersonic was used on Amanda, my friend with curly hair 3B, and mine 2C. We used the diffuser for her hair. However, I used all the attachment settings on my own hair except for the wide-tooth combing, because that's not designed for my hair type. The diffuser and concentrated styling attachments were the only ones I remembered to photograph, so please excuse me. Both attachment tools made my hair look and feel great.

I bought the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer in order to test it with three different hair types.

Powerful. It is also fast.

They are designed to distribute air better around curls. With longer prongs, you can style hair more precisely and reach deeper into your hair.

It also includes three attachments: a diffuser (for smoothing) and two nozzles (one to concentrate the airflow, which is great for blowouts. Dyson has released three additional attachments to the Supersonic, including the Flyaway Attachment that smooths down flyaways and the Wide Tooth Comb Attachment that curls and coils hair. The Gentle Air Attachment is for controlling and diffusing heat to protect hair types with fine hair.

Although I haven’t seen a knockoff, you can let your hair air dry most of it and then blow dry with a hair dryer for the last few seconds. This will give you a smooth and shiny finish without having to heat it.

According to me, Dyson Supersonic has the best dryer for gray hair. Dyson Airwrap comes in second, but it's the Dyson Supersonic that I love.

You have the option of a beautiful presentation case, a stand, or you can be as creative as me and just keep it in your bathroom drawer.

To dry your hair, you should use the diffuser to gather your hair and then press it to your scalp. Dyson has made a series videos that will help you use your hair dryer if you are unsure (like me).

I was instantly blown away when the Dyson arrived in my home. It's lightweight and slimmer than the big hair dryers that I used. And it's so easy to navigate. I can't compare the Dyson to any other hair dryers. The heat controls are very precise. And the technology makes sure that I don’t do any damage to my hair, even when the heat is high. I find that this part of my daily routine is more enjoyable with the Dyson than something I dread or avoid altogether.

Dyson has put together a series video tutorials that show you how to use the hair dryer.

Dyson won't lie about your hair feeling healthier after using the Supersonic.
