It's slim, lightweight, and easy to navigate, compared to other hair dryers. The Dyson is my favorite hair dryer. The Dyson's heat controls are among the best I have ever seen. I don't do too much damage to my hair even when I use a higher heat setting. The Dyson is a part of my routine that I enjoy, rather than fear and avoid.

In the recent past, a hair dryer has become a necessity rather than a desire. It could be that hair dryers can cause dry, rough hair and hair to lose their color (1). I have found that it creates huge volume. I use the round brush provided with the dryer (which I can use for curtain bangs), and one of their concentrator nozzles to style and add volume to my roots. Otherwise, my hair is left to dry naturally without any attachments. It always looks like it just came off the set of a movie.

The claim that Supersonic can increase shine by 132% was something I wasn't convinced of. It seems subjective. But, I was curious to find out if the claims of decreasing frizz and protecting against heat damage were true.
